I love using a diaper cake as a centerpiece for a baby shower. Not only are they decorative but so useful for the parents to be. Basically the "cake" consists of diapers wrapped in ribbon. It can be left this way or decorated with useful baby items. I always like to add a plush animal as a topper - it's a whimsical way to finish off the cake.
