Camp Charlie!

We spent the past weekend preparing and hosting my son Charlie's 5th birthday party.  With a camping theme inspired by making s'mores in Maine, we created a fun filled party that took our little campers out into the woods for a few hours.  Charlie had lots of input into what he wanted to do at his party.  His favorite activity was the bear hunt, lead by his own papa bear.  My favorite was watching them "roast" marshmallows over a faux fire and, of course, knowing what a special day it had been for my little man.

Hot Hot Hot!

Last week someone asked me what I had been doing with all my extra time since I left my job to stay at home with my three children.  I rehashed my recent experiments involving Tequila and hot peppers as well as the process of creating felt flames for a fake campfire I am working on.  Clearly this information needed to be shared with the general public.

I consider this blog to be my first foray into the big wide world of party planning that I have dabbeled in over the past couple of years.  Certainly it will also include fun activities and culinary adventures that day to day life provides.  Hope you'll join me on this venture, and don't worry if you don't like hot peppers - I've got some other tricks up my sleeve.
